Stop your WebGeno Professional billing yourself, in about two minutes. Nothing is deleted when you cancel, and your Professional access runs to the end of the period you have already paid for.
Cancellation lives in the account menu, not in Settings.
Sign in to the WebGeno web app and click your name in the top-right corner. In the menu that opens, choose Manage Subscription.
Where the option sits once you have a paid subscription.
This opens Stripe, our payment processor, on a secure page tied to your account.
Manage Subscription opens the Stripe billing portal in a new page. From there you can update your card, download past invoices, and cancel. Select Cancel subscription and confirm when Stripe asks.
You’ll know it worked when the portal shows your plan as cancelling, and Stripe emails you a confirmation. No further payments will be taken.
You keep Professional until the paid period runs out, so there is no rush on the day.
Cancelling does not cut your access off immediately. Your account stays on Professional until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, then moves to the Free plan on its own. Your account, your genograms and your settings all stay where they are.
What changes on the Free plan is the Professional feature set: cloud sync, PDF, PNG and SVG exports, the AI tools, and custom health conditions. Building genograms locally stays free and unlimited, including all 64 built-in health conditions, every relationship type, and the legend.
.wgeno file on your own computer.No. Instead of refunding the unused part, we leave your Professional access switched on until the period you paid for has finished. Subscription fees are non-refundable as set out in our Terms of Service, which also covers the statutory 14-day withdrawal right for EU consumers. If you think you were charged in error, email support@psychologysmarttools.com within 30 days of the charge and we’ll look into it.
That is the expected behaviour: you keep Professional until the end of the paid period. Check the Stripe confirmation email, or reopen the billing portal, where the plan will be shown as cancelling. If the portal says cancelled and you want to be sure the app has caught up, sign out and back in to refresh your account status.
The option only shows for accounts with an active paid subscription. The usual reasons for it being absent are: your Professional access comes from free student verification, so there is nothing being billed; your access was granted directly by us; you have already cancelled; or you are signed in with a different email address than the one that holds the subscription. If none of those fit, email support@psychologysmarttools.com from the address on the account and we’ll sort it out.
Yes, and that is the point of the trial. Cancel before it ends and you are never charged. You keep the Professional features for the remainder of the trial period rather than losing them the moment you cancel.
No. Cancelling only stops the billing. Your account stays open on the Free plan and nothing is deleted. If you want the account itself removed along with its data, that is a separate request: email support@psychologysmarttools.com and we’ll handle it.
The steps are identical. The only difference is how much paid time is left: your Professional access continues until the end of the annual term, then the account moves to Free.
Yes, at any time, through Upgrade to Professional in the account menu. Your cloud genograms and settings are still there. Note that the 7-day free trial is only available once per account, so a second subscription starts billing straight away.
